YOUR WARRANTY
Many of the tradesmen within this site would not normally be available to the general public as their work is based on recommendations and clients of many years standing.
All Tradesman that have been accepted into this Register of Time-Served Tradesmen have signed a declaration specifying that if any labour defect should occur within twelve months of completion of contract, they will be rectified. Material defects will be covered by manufacturer's guarantees where applicable.
The 12 month warranty is explained below in greater detail:
Members have signed a declaration specifying that any customer who has a legitimate complaint regarding workmanship within 12 months of completion of the contract, then it will be rectified by the contractor concerned.
The Contractor shall not be liable under the 12 month warranty in respect of:
a. Work of a clearly temporary nature (storm damage etc) will not come within the terms of the 12 month warranty.
b. Loss, damage or liability covered by any household insurance policy, for example storm, subsidence or landslip or for which compensation is provided by legislation.
c. Loss or damage caused by shrinkage, dampness or condensation due to the normal drying out of the dwelling or attributable to central heating installation.
d. Loss or damage caused by wear and tear or gradual deterioration caused by neglect in maintenance.
e. Loss or damage caused by work carried out by any other parties not subject to control by the Registered Time Served Contractor.
f. Loss or damage consequent upon the installation or presence of a lift or swimming pool within the dwelling or its cortilage.
g. Loss or damage attributable to non-existent damp proof course.
h. Roof work other than complete renewal of roof covering.
i. Damage to or caused by anything not built into the dwelling pursuant to the Contract between the Contractor and the Client.
j. Loss or damage solely due to pre-existing defects not the subject of remedial work pursuant to the Contract which is the subject of the Warranty.
LIMITATIONS ON LIABILITY
All materials, part fittings, stc will come under Manufacturer's guarantees were this is provided.
The 12 month Warranty cover only operates if the Contractor is paid in full not more than 21 days after submission of final account.
It is understood that any agreement entered into between a Tradesmen and client does not detract from the Clients remedies at law.
